21 year old Kevin Collins Jr was last seen in Woodstown, New Jersey on February 27, 2025. He disappeared after fleeing through the back door of a hospital, leaving all of his personal belongings behind.
Disappearance
On February 27, 2025, Kevin Collins Jr called police for assistance while driving in Alloway Township after experiencing what may have been a mental health crisis.
“He was exhibiting some paranoia, feeling like somebody was after him,” Kevin’s mother, Tinisha Hall, said.
Kevin was evaluated at the scene, and transported by ambulance to the Inspira Medical Center on State Highway 45 in Woodstown.
Around 4:00 pm, Kevin walked out of a back door in the hospital, leaving his phone, keys, and shoes behind. He was wearing a hospital gown, which law enforcement found discarded near some railroad tracks behind the Mannington Mills flooring plant, located a short distance from the hospital.
At 4:57 pm he was captured on surveillance footage walking unclothed into a wooded area near Griscom Drive in Mannington Township, an area adjacent to the hospital. This is the last confirmed sighting of Kevin.
Investigation
Searches in the area where Kevin went missing were conducted with the help of K9s, drones, and a dive team, but no additional clues as to his whereabouts have been found.
In April a bloodhound seemed to pick up a scent about a mile from the hospital on Harris Road, but lost it before coming to a waterway. That location is where a resident claims someone knocked on her door around 9:00 pm the day after Kevin disappeared, but when she opened the door no one was there.
Kevin’s mother started a Facebook page to share information on his case and to help organize searches.
Hospital officials have declined to comment on the case, citing patient confidentiality, and stating that they have cooperated with police.
“The case is still under investigation,” Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron told NJ.com. “We will continue to pursue any new leads or information that becomes available.”
